Any advice on meditation exercises for beginners?
Therefore, I have had way too much on my mind lately and is starting to interfere with work and sleep. I started reading a bit about the art of Zen and thought you might be the perfect solution to ease my mind. I wondered if anyone had any tips or simple exercises that I could start.
I agree that there is no reason you can not start with the Zen. Although I do not follow meditation Zen me, have implemented several techniques in my meditation. Note that there are many ways to meditate, and none of them are wrong. Here are some things different to try. Get into a relaxed position. Not necessarily have to be in a perfect lotus position for meditation. Sitting, kneeling, walking are perfectly acceptable. The point is not to be too focused on the body, but in the harmony of the mind. 1. The wall – sitting in front of a blank wall, and only look at a point of it. Concentrate on your breathing by counting the number of breaths in groups of ten. 2. Visualization is a very powerful mind to achieve your desires. For example, before training, I think of nothing but my training, and empty my mind of the accounts must be paid, purchases need to collect, and a companion WHO's work drives me crazy. 3. Empty your mind of all thought, and allow your mind to be the mirror of the world around you. For example, if you have a place where you can be quiet (ie a park), sit back and let yourself really hear every sound and every sight seeing, without thinking. Do not think, just be. I am not a guru meditation just a guy who has found that with these various techniques, I can allow myself to ignore the lack of harmony around me.

Through meditation we can achieve peace of mind and increased ability to concentrate. The length of time to meditate is not as important as the approach We in our meditation. If we can meditate with a silent mind 5 minutes we can bring to the fore our own divine qualities of inner peace and inner happiness. It is an inner joy success independent of any external or internal prosperity.
When meditation classes are offered for the Sri Chinmoy Centre. Offer These seven tips that will help us to meditate more successfully.
1. Quite the Mind
The goal of meditation is to go beyond of mind. Meditation can be done by thought. All the different ways of meditation share this common characteristic to cultivate a silent mind. When our mind is silent, we can begin to come into a new awareness, a consciousness not limited by the intellectual mind. With a calm mind that we will experience peace
"I think
So I can flood
My whole being
With the Almighty
Power of peace. "
– Sri Chinmoy
2. Concentration
In whatever we do, we will have more success if we are able to concentrate completely on the task at hand. This means being alone in a point. When we meditate we need to change out everything else and put all our attention in meditation.
3. Place to meditate
It is very useful to find a quiet place to meditate every day. I have a small corner of my room especially devoted to meditation. You can use an image of a saint or teacher who inspires you. Or simply use the flowers and a candle. If you meditate in the same place every day builds up a meditative atmosphere.
4. Aspiration
The aspiration to meditate. If we are hungry then we eat. It's the same with meditation, if we are not satisfied with what we have and we would like to find inner peace within ourselves, we will be motivated to meditate every day. This aspiration or inner cry is perhaps more important than learning many techniques.
5. Perseverance and Patience
In the beginning we can not expect results during the night, each time we meditate we are adding to our ability, even if we do not have great experiences then we need to persevere. If we practice sincerely that progress.
6. Use the spiritual qualities of the Heart
The heart is the place of the soul. If we focus on the heart, immediately our thoughts have less power. By focusing on our hearts we can go in the vastness of meditation.
7. Cultivating happiness
It is important to realize the goal of meditation is to raise our consciousness and have a more positive outlook on life and about ourselves. When we meditate, Then we will have a positive attitude towards life.
