Where I can learn to meditate for free? The websites that offer free guided meditation?
I am very depressed right now, I need something positive to encourage and help me remain compassionate. I want to learn to meditate, I checked with the center of Buda, learning today and cost $ 60 for log in! I did not pay, of course, want to see if an alternative. Anyone know of any good websites that offer free meditation?
Well, I felt the same and had a race to the library and went to a couple of books that have tons of invaluable assistance. Also, you might want to watch youtube and see if they have a nice little yoga or videos of meditation practice with. good luck and peace be with you! (:

Techniques of meditation?
So I thought a couple of times, but I find it hard to be able to focus and clarify my mind. I do breathing slow mattresses, in the work of candlelight, etc, and sometimes does. Is there any specific practices that can help me learn to meditate better?
Dear Lauren, Meditation takes practice like anything else you want to be good. I'm putting below some websites that may be helpful. Different practices work best for different people. You will find that works best for you and then practice regularly. I promise, you get good at it. Take care

Is there a way to learn to meditate w / o taking a class ….?
I have reviewed the two closest schools in the community. You have a yoga class incorporating meditation class, but do not know how. And the other has a gym where you can practice yoga, but classes do not. I not only want but need a strong mind. I want more attention and the ability to not think about the stupid shit that gets on my nerves. Do not say "join the Marines," because that was my only wish in life since I was in seventh grade (13 years). I say this because I'm taking medication for anxiety disorder and Marine neither the Army nor the Navy or Coast Guard to admit that unless you have been off medication for a certain period of time. There were other reasons I wanted join the Corps, not only to strengthen the mind and body, but I can not be outside of these medicines for more than two days w / o ill shit going on. I that meditation is the key. What do I have to do?
Close ur eyes, take a breath and just concentrate on your breathing.

Buddhism was told by a psychiatrist that I have "mixed" bipolar. He has Lamictal 300 mg and 80 mg Geodon.?
twice a day. Lamictal two are taken in the AM and 1 PM. And a Geodon is taken in the morning and afternoon. With an experience mixed mania and bipolar depression suicidal thoughts, while I'm crazy with these mood toggle, experiencing so many times every day. They have been on Lamictal for a few months and Geodon for 4 days. Please read on the Internet for "mixed" bipolar and provide good advice for me. Or suggest a good book, please. I'm exercising every day (running), Healthy Eating (and not chocolate / caffeine of any kind), and I'm reading self help books on bipolar disorder – record keeping as well – my doctor to see each visit. They recently learned about the care and attention meditation to implement the best I can. What else I can do? Thanks for all your help in advance.
I guess it has been given lithium carbonate and not help? If current medications are not working, talk to your psychiatrist about other options. Psychiatrists often use medication to treat the disorders, and sometimes medication is necessary. But there is still "uncertainty fundamental of being "… I'm surprised have not been referred to a psychologist for cognitive therapy. Buddhism will help, but it takes time and practice to be done correctly. Done correctly, Buddhism is like cognitive behavioral therapy, except that addresses the whole issue of human being, not just behavioral problems. And takes much longer than CB therapy. Finding a qualified teacher (usually an ordained … someone who really "walks the walk and talks with example ") and do the practices that teach you. I also recommend the teaching / mps3 CD Pema Chodron downloads. His teaching style of Tibetan Buddhism has a strong emphasis on the techniques of cognitive behavioral psychology, our ability to open ourselves to become "addicted", and our ability to retrain the way they react to us. Being a Westerner, the professor puts things in a context in which we can easily follow and understand. http://www.pemachodrontapes.com/store/ best for you in your journey. Has decided to work on some powerful karma in this life. Because the tasks are more difficult than most other peoples, all efforts made to restore their mental habits and impressions will be much stronger and karmic future profits much higher.

Why, when they were younger than ever bored? Now that were older does not seem so funny? What is the meaning of life?
Well, now I know some of you will say things like get some hobbies. Trust me, I have a lot of hobbies, reading, writing, guitar, piano, finding new music, language learning, exercising, watching favorite television programs, meditation, hanging out with friends, etc. but after I'm done yet I'm bored …… I'm bored with life, what is the point that all you really get a job, get married have children and die …., These days because they were older it seems that all we can do for fun are drugs and alcohol
To me it sounds as if you spend all their time trying to find things to keep "busy", and as soon as you run out of things to keep you busy then you feel bored I suggest learn to overcome the feeling of boredom and recognize what it is relaxing if you can learn to accept 'does not feel busy, "and even learn to enjoy it, you'll find that your hobbies will feel like fun again, rather than a device to keep from feeling bored (great book to read for more help with this is "Do not Sweat the Small Stuff")

Hi, I want to know about the Old Testament meditation is that the web sites to learn meditation?
The objective set of meditation is 1. to calm the mind, and 2. to focus the mind on one thing. If you sit and close your eyes you will notice that your mind is jumping from one thought to another. Although you want to concentrate on your breathing are other thoughts also comes in the middle. In learning to meditate, we must first learn to calm the mind. To Therefore, following every thought that comes into you mind. You must be a manager of a hotel at the entrance and watch customers come in. Without adhering to the thoughts treat to watch. You will find that a thought comes and goes nowhere, and another thought that is – follow these steps as well – with the same results. This way you will find that your thoughts gradually decrease. Do not try to force out his thoughts. Of course we do not expect results in one or two days. Practice for at least 40 minutes every day for at least 2 months you find that you have 'killed' their train of thought. I practiced for 1 1 / 2 years and even vague thoughts come in. From then start concentrating on your breathing. Observe the breath coming and going out. You should not focus only at the tip of his nose. Observe the breath in and then filled lungs to obtain and then gradually exhaling breath. You should be able to get some orientation of the following sites: 1. www.dhamma.org / vipassan.htm 2. www.meditationexpert.com and click free articles on meditation, yoga – that includes articles on all types of meditations, including Muslim and Christian meditation.
