Spells and Hair growth?

August 6, 2010 by admin

I’m Druidic and looking for a way to make my hair grow faster after a *really* bad hair cut. I’m taking selenium and fish oil and b-complex and a multi to make it grow faster. I use generic mane & tail conditioner, and keep my hair as healthy as possible. I’ve always eaten a healthy diet, but I really need something more to to really make it grow a bit faster. Does anyone have any spells or meditations, or even herbs or something to make it grow faster? even products that work would be nice, or a better vitamin to take. Thanks for answering.

Atheists who understand the value of meditation, should one learn meditation from books and scientific papers?

There are many main stream meditations and most of them belong to religion such as Tibetan Buddhism or have an historical connection with religion. For example, TM is secular but is connected to Hinduism. There is also, of course, the Christian meditation.

Some scientists, such as Benson with its relaxation response protocol, have described meditations in scientific papers. Benson’s relaxation response is derived from TM, but there is no professionally trained teachers and some studies indicate that the benefits are different, which makes sense because the teaching is different. There are also many books on meditation.

The results of a given meditation vary from person to person, but studies show that, despite these variations, different meditations provide completely different results. The difference between two kind of meditations can be similar to the difference between just lying down and sleeping. Of course, the results of sleeping or lying down vary from person to person, but still these are clearly two different practices with different results and these differences are universal. Every one needs sleep. No one can replace sleep by just lying down (though there may very few exceptions). The point here is that it is not true that all meditations are similar and science can discover universal differences between different techniques.

So what is your position on this. Should we consider the different meditations scientifically as they can be currently learned, irrespectively of their connection with religion? Or should we reject any connection with religion and create our own personal meditation from books and scientific papers?
For those who want references, I would suggest that you do your own search in Google Scholar with the term "meditation"- avoid standard Google because then you will have all sorts of weird sites with no scientific value. In Google Scholar, you will see many sites with scientific research on mindfulness meditation and TM, the most studied. You will also find comparative studies. If you want my opinion, TM is the best, but please make your own evaluation.

What kind of meditation do you do and what are the benefits?

Name it, if it has a name, and describe it briefly. It is meditation on a theme (love, peace, etc.)? Do you attempt to keep your mind on something (a location in the body, a specific thought, an internal image, etc.)? If there is scientific research on your meditation give a web page with the references..
Of course, there is also transcendental meditation in which there is no theme and no attempt to keep the mind on something.
Mr Obvious: Usually people doing research on meditation have name for the meditations that they study. Superficially, two meditations may seem identical, but the details are important. The benefits may depend on them. So we identify the meditation with the specific teaching that one goes through to learn it. In this way, there is no confusion.
Why the thumbs down? It is not nice. Meditation is a very large concept. There are religious meditations and there are non religious meditations.

Questions about meditating?

I have three books.

"Meditation for Beginners" by Stephanie Clement
"Your Aura & Your Chakras" by Karla McLaren
"Aura Reading for Beginners" by Richard Webster

I was wondering a couple of things.

I figured I shall spend a half hour in the morning after I wake up and before I go to sleep, just meditating. This will be for 6-7 weeks, daily as well.

How can I read auras, and what are the steps to reading them? Or, after how many weeks of meditating will I start to see auras?

What does it mean when it says "think of yourself going deep within yourself" or "reverse and return into yourself"?

How is astral projection possible, and what steps do you need to take in order to do this?

Can someone do several types of meditation in one session of meditating? Such as dream meditation, ki meditation, healing meditation?

How can I avoid becoming bored or letting my mind lose focus during meditations?

Thanks in advance.

I chose to master aura reading first, and the reason for the time frame is because it will be easier to meditate in Georgia, where it is nice and quiet, then where I currently live in, which is New York, a lot of unwanted noise and the such.
