Is meditation on Christianity?
Hello, I am as a person with a considerable amount of tension and would like to achieve internal peace and would like to give meditation a try. Will meditating invade any principles of Christianity? Thanks
Try to meditate on the Gospel of Jesus Christ also known as the Rosary. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, cf. John 14:13-14, Acts 2:21) I believe in God the Father almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life. Lev 5:5, Neh 1:5-9, Dan 9:3-19, James 5:16) Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done earth as in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (Matthew 6:9-13, cf. Luke 11:2-4, Mark 14:36, Gal 4:6) Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and always will be world without end. (Luke 2:14, cf. How to learn meditation by myself?

How to learn meditation by myself. I need it to fight the stress and tention. Are the places where someone teaching meditation for free? I just can’t understand consept of meditation and relax by myself while watching those meditation videos online or trying other ways by myself.

What kind of meditation retreat, and how long should it be, to de-stress from an extremely intense job?

I have meditated before but I need more depth over a sustained period of time.
I’m seeing a psychologist for stress and resulting depression, and he is very supportive of a meditation retreat. He recommends 3-5 days, not the 10 day vipasanna type right now.
This would also be best located in the New York-New England area.
